REMSEMBURG COTTAGE

This older cottage was updated to the builder’s own, Dream cottage.  We took a small, divided kitchen and totally renovated it, to add custom cabinets, a center island, with beautiful granite counters, and a window seat, with plenty of storage all around.  The house features custom millwork, a LaFace design coffered ceiling in the living room, shiplap walls on the 1st-floor hallway, and capped halfway up the wall going up the stairs into the 2ndfloor hallway. The dining room has custom panel work. Some of the house features new wood floors, and the existing ones were all refinished to match the new style. Custom millwork and lighting throughout, and updated fireplace converted to gas, with a new custom marble surround and wood hearth.  The breezeway has a beautiful light-colored brick floor in a Herringbone design, with two custom benches. One bench has cubbies for shoe storage and the other is a large storage space. The interior and exterior were painted throughout, and a new roof was added. The sunroom was renovated with new screen and glass panels that can be switched out for the seasons and is the family’s favorite room to view the beautiful gardens and wildlife that frequents the property.
